Momentum Leisure develops and operates leisure concepts in Europe, including four theme parks in Poland in a joint venture with Studio 100's Plopsa Group.

Momentum Leisure

Momentum Leisure, is based in both Amsterdam and Warsaw. The company and its subsidiaries have a European scope. In cooperation with dedicated entrepreneurs, Momentum Leisure realises and operates large-scale leisure companies and concepts. We are building a better world by changing the leisure market for the better. Sustainability and safety are therefore of paramount importance.

The investments of Momentum Leisure are supported by Momentum Capital B.V., co-investors and strategic business partners in Europe.

An example of one of our joint ventures is the cooperation with Studio 100's Plopsa Group. In Poland, a theme park formula of a flagship park with three satellite parks is being rolled out. The flagship park in Kownaty (one hour's drive from Berlin) and the park in Warsaw have already opened. Preparations for the third park in Gdansk are at an advanced stage and construction is expected to start this year.

Our Projects

Majaland Kownaty

The flagshippark opened on September 29, 2018.

Majaland Kownaty is the first family and theme park in Poland, located in the Polish-German border area near Berlin and Poznań. The park was developed in a joint venture with the Plopsa Group. The park consists of an indoor and outdoor section with major attractions, including Poland's first wooden roller coaster, a Splash Battle, and a Disk'O Coaster. In the near future, the land around the park will be further developed with facilities for multi-day stays and entertainment.

Majaland Warsaw

Opened on April 30, 2022.

Warsaw is the most visited city in Poland with over 20 million tourists annually. The plot for Majaland Warsaw is located on the northeastern border of Warsaw and is only a short travel time from the city center. Construction of this satellite park started in December 2020, the Grand Opening took place on April 30, 2022. Majaland Warsaw will be part of a large shopping and entertainment center being built by Ceetrus, the real estate company of retail giant Auchan.

Majaland Gdańsk

expected opening 2023

The third Majaland Park in Poland is being developed in Gdańsk, located on the Baltic Sea. Gdańsk, like Warsaw, is a major tourist attraction. Preparatory works are in an advanced stage and the construction of the theme park is expected to start this year.
Like Majaland Warsaw, the park will be built as an indoor park with a number of outdoor rides. The rides will be based on the proven themes and attractions of Majaland Kownaty.

Majaland Katowice

expected opening Q1 2024

The fourth Polish Majaland park is planned for the time being in the region near Katowice, Poland's most populous region. The southern Polish city of Katowice is known as a place of sports and music events, attracting many visitors every year. Majaland Katowice, like Majaland Warsaw and Majaland Gdansk, is being developed as a satellite park. Construction work is planned for 2022 and 2023.

195 Hectares of Land

suitable for leisure facilities and multi-day stays

Momentum Leisure has 195 hectares of undeveloped land adjacent to the Majaland Kownaty Park, representing an expansion opportunity for the theme park. In addition, the current development of a diverse range of leisure facilities such as stores and restaurants means the recreation area will eventually be suitable for multi-day stays.
